DiPhi was proud to host the 68th Governor of North Carolina, James E. Holshouser as our annual Kemp Plummer Battle Lecturer on University History. Governor Holshouser spoke on this University Day to a room of Senators, guests, and Alumni about his struggles as Governor and as a member of the NC House with the large and unique North Carolina university system. He also used his address to commemorate the contributions of the late Bill Friday to the state and University. Governor Holshouser was voted a Friend of the Joint Senate this week.
