The White & Blue is the magazine of the Dialectic and Philanthropic societies. The W&B was initially published in 1894 as a rival to what is now the Daily Tar Heel, competing for the subscriptions of hundreds of students at its peak and promoting a platform “less biased” by fraternities and athletics. The White & Blue in its modern incarnation serves to document the experiences of Senators during their time at UNC and within the Societies, and is an outlet for student voices, journalism, and creative endeavors.
